Temple Terrace Announces City Holiday Hours

TEMPLE TERRACE – Temple Terrace City Hall, the public works department and other city government offices will be closed Monday, Tuesday and New Year's Day.

There will be no residential thrash pickup or curbside recycling collection on those days, Temple Terrace city spokesman Michael Dunn said in a release. Crews will pick up commercial garbage Monday but not Tuesday or Jan. 1. Those commercial routes will be serviced Wednesday and Jan. 2.

Residents on Monday's recycling routes will have their green bins emptied Dec. 31. Tuesday's recycling routes will be serviced Dec. 28 and Jan. 4.

Monday's city council meeting also has been canceled.

The Temple Terrace Public Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today; open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday; open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Dec. 27; open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 28 and 29; open from 1 to 5 p.m. Dec. 30; open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and closed New Year's Day. When it's time to toss out the Christmas tree after the holidays, Temple Terrace residents can place it at curbside for pickup.

The city's public works department will collect live trees for recycling. They should be placed at curbside by 7 a.m. on any Wednesday after Christmas for pickup with the regular yard waste collection.
