County Needs Volunteer

UNIVERSITY AREA - Hillsborough County is looking for a volunteer to serve on the University Area Enterprise Zone Development Agency Board.

The purpose of the board is to implement a strategic economic development plan for the enterprise zone. The state-approved University Area Enterprise Zone is generally described as located north of the city of Tampa boundary along Fowler Avenue, south of Bearss Avenue/Skipper Road, and between Interstate 275 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

The position is for the remainder of the term that expires Sept. 30. The board meets every other month.

Nominees must be registered voters in Hillsborough County. Board members serve without compensation.

Anyone who wishes to be considered for the appointment must submit a completed questionnaire by Jan. 4. Appointments will be scheduled for meetings of the county commissioners in January or February.
