The event scheduled to start after 5 p.m. Mass - about 5:45 - is open to all and will feature musical entertainment by Band of Fred.

In addition to the brats, beer and sauerkraut, there will be hot dogs for the children, other beverages and funnel cakes. Entertainment for children will include games, an inflatable obstacle course, a magic show and balloon animals.

'It's to get the people of the parish and the people of the surrounding communities together,' said Cy DiLeo of the Knights of Columbus, which organizes the annual festival. 'It's a community thing.'
