CORY LAKE ISLES - Some 25 boats decked out in holiday splendor from bow to stern caravanned with Santa Claus in tow on the sprawling lake spanning the community Dec. 13.
Residents planned the path of the holiday boat parade on a course around each isle community and through the main lake, which took about an hour and a half, resident Adam Ringhof said.
The parade attracted about 100 residents, who sat on their docks to watch the procession go by.
The parade ended at the community beach, where parade participants and other residents gathered for a party and bonfire.
Ringhof's wife, Kerri, said some residents who participated in the event were planning scaled-down boat parades on the lake Dec. 21 and Sunday.
