TAMPA - Graffiti was spray-painted on 15 vehicles on Portside Street in the city's New Tampa area early Monday, authorities said.
Cars parked in unlit areas along the street in the Heritage Isles community appeared to have been targeted, Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said.
The detective investigating the incident was working on leads Wednesday but had not determined whether more than one person was involved.
Because of the extent of damages, whoever is responsible is likely to face criminal mischief and auto burglary felony charges, Davis said.
