TEMPLE TERRACE - The Temple Terrace Garden Club has several activities scheduled for March.
They include:
•A program by Al Whitcomb on garden photography at 9:30 a.m. March 12 at the Woodmont Clubhouse, 415 Woodmont Ave.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
•Annual Spring Market from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 15 in Woodmont Park, 415 Woodmont Ave.
Garden club members and vendors will have plants for sale, master gardeners will answer plant questions, and activities will be available for children.
•A program on rose gardening, presented by Anne Evans at 7 p.m. March 25 at the clubhouse. It is free and open to the public.
•A workday in Woodmont Park from 9 to 11 a.m. March 29. Participants are asked to bring garden tools to help.

Juniors To Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday
TAMPA PALMS - The New Tampa Junior Woman's Club will celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Learning Express, 16045 Tampa Palms Blvd.
The event will include arts and crafts and birthday cake. The event is free, but attendees are asked to bring a new or gently used book for donation to Mort Elementary.

Junior Woman's Club Installs Officers
TEMPLE TERRACE - Officers for the Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club were installed at a recent banquet at the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club.
They are Lynn Werner, president; Coleen Garner, vice president of ways and means; Anita Long, vice president of departments; Kelly Hancock, vice president of committees; Nancy Hutson, vice president of membership retention; Misty Winter, vice president of membership recruitment; Kasey Waterman, secretary; and Ruth Morris, treasurer.
They were installed by Carmela Johnson, junior district director.
Awards were presented to Long for her work behind the scenes, Jeannie Waterman for leadership and Werner for the most service hours.
The event also included the installation of Sarah Hebert as a new member.

Building Association Hosts Seminar
HUNTER'S GREEN - The Sales & Marketing Council of the Pasco Building Association will host consultant Charles Clarke III at a seminar Tuesday.
The event, open to the public, will be at the Hunter's Green Golf & Country Club, 18101 Longwater Run Drive. Registration is at 8 a.m., and the program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Clarke will speak about "Closing Skills for Difficult Markets."

March Madness For Many Groups
TAMPA - March is a busy month for many nonprofit organizations.
Among the fundraising events scheduled are:
•The Tampa Woman's Club is sponsoring the Fashionella '60 fashion show March 1.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Michael Clayton and his wife, Tina, are the honorary co-chairmen. The event will be at the Renaissance Tampa Hotel International Plaza, 4200 Jim Walter Blvd., and includes a boutique from 10 a.m. to noon and a luncheon.
Tickets are $50 ($125 for patron seating). Proceeds benefit the Children's Cancer Center. For tickets, call (813) 839-7457.
The Partners Circle Gala, celebrating 100 years of service by the Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco, will be at 7 p.m. March 1 at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, 700 S. Florida Ave.
It includes recognition of John Oliva and the Oliva family, Manuel G. Alvarez and Colonial Bank.
Tickets are $125 per person, with sponsorships from $2,500 to $10,000. Proceeds will benefit the Salesian Youth Center, St. Joseph School and Villa Madonna School.

•Fashion Funds the Cure, benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, will be from 6 to 9 p.m. March 11 at Saks Fifth Avenue, 258 WestShore Plaza.
Celebrity models will include members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Lightning. There will be live and silent auctions, food and beverages. Tickets are $75 and available by calling (813) 269-0955.
•The Distinguished Citizens and Friends of Scouting Dinner, benefiting the Gulf Ridge Council of the Boy Scouts of America, will be 7 p.m. March 11 at Busch Gardens, 10001 N. McKinley Drive.
Sam Ellison and Judge E.J. Salcines will be honored.

•The Chiselers Preview Party, a cocktail gala with a live auction, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. March 14 at Plant Hall at the University of Tampa, 401 W. Kennedy Blvd.
It serves as a preview for the Chiselers sale March 15, which features plants, furniture, books, art, china, designer clothing and collectibles. Sandy Harris and Lissa Knopke are party co-chairwomen; Al Van Voris and Evelyn Bowles are sale co-chairmen.

•The Red White & Blue Bash, featuring dinner, line dancing and country singer Julie Roberts, will be at 7 p.m. March 15 at the Pepin Hospitality Center, 4121 N. 50th St.
The event, catered by Outback Steakhouse, benefits the Tampa Bay chapter of the American Red Cross.

Project In Colombia Topic At Rotary
TAMPA PALMS - Herman Leon, a member of Rotary Club of Ybor City, will speak at Friday's meeting of the Rotary Club of New Tampa.
He will talk about The Water Purification and Waste Management Project, a program his club is supporting that benefits farmers in Colombia. The meeting is at 7 a.m. at the Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club, 5811 Tampa Palms Blvd.
