Cruise Salutes Vets

The SS American Victory, the restored cargo vessel berthed behind the Florida Aquarium, will set sail Saturday on her Salute to Veterans Cruise. The cruise on Tampa Bay will include ceremonies recognizing Merchant Mariners and honoring veterans and active duty military personnel.
The cruise includes vintage aircraft flyovers, memorial and burial-at-sea services, tours and weaponry demonstrations.
Tickets are $125 and include a continental breakfast and box lunch. Boarding begins at 8 a.m., departure is at 9 a.m. and the Victory returns at 3:30 p.m. For tickets, call (813) 228-8766 or go to www.americanvictory.org.
