Corpus Christi School Sets Holiday Gala

TEMPLE TERRACE - Corpus Christi Catholic School will have a Holiday Gala with dinner, dancing, live entertainment and a live and silent auction.

The fundraiser will from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Bethany Center, 18150 Bethany Center Drive, in Lutz.

The 43-year-old school is seeking sponsorships and auction donations with Friday the deadline for inclusion in the program.

Tickets also are on sale at the school, 9715 N. 56{+t}{+h} St. Tickets are $75 with deadline to purchase Dec. 1.

Preservation Society Meets Thursday

Lucy Jones, president of Florida History LLC, will speak at Thursday's general membership meeting of the Temple Terrace Preservation Society.

The event, open and free to members and the public, will be at 7 p.m. at the Temple Terrace Community Church Parish Hall, 210 Inverness Ave.

Jones will speak about updating the historic property survey in Temple Terrace, which was last done in 1988. The meeting also will include information about the Dec. 6 Temple Terrace Holiday Tour of Homes.

Pan Am Women Set Annual Boutique

WEST SHORE - The Pan American University Women will have its annual brunch and meeting Saturday at the Sheraton Suites Cypress, 4410 Cypress Ave.

Nora Lamb and Lucy Herman will register guests at 8:45 a.m. when shopping at more than 30 holiday boutiques begins. Judy Blanco, Tana Levinson and Nuri Ayers are in charge of the arrangements.

Rough Riders Sponsor College Rivalry Social
HYDE PARK - The Rough Riders will sponsor a College Football Rivalry Week social at 6 p.m. Thursday at The Retreat, 123 Hyde Park Ave.

The event is open to all krewes, and attendees should wear their school spirit clothes and accessories.

Orchid Society Meets Thursday

SEMINOLE HEIGHTS - Bill Thoms, a founder of the Tampa Bay Orchid Society and a national orchid judge, will speak when the society meets Thursday.

He will speak about Identifying and Fixing Problems With Your Orchids at the event, open to the public free of charge. It is at 7 p.m. at Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, 611 Central Ave.
