TEMPLE TERRACE - The Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club will sponsor the Fall Harvest Jubilee from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at Woodmont Park and Clubhouse, 415 Woodmont Ave.

The event is open to the public free of charge. It will feature vendors with jewelry, candles, housewares, clothes, plants, cosmetics and gourmet food for sale.

The fundraiser also will include face-painting and a pumpkin patch. Hotdogs, chips and sodas will be for sale

Relay For Life Has Kickoff, Fundraiser

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life in Temple Terrace will have its Relay Kickoff Party at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Woodmont Clubhouse.

The committee also plans a fundraiser, Strike Out Cancer - a Bowling Fundraiser, at Terrace Sports, 5311 E. Busch Blvd., from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 19. It also plans the Relay Yard Sale at 8 a.m. Nov. 1 at Terrace Plaza on 56th Street at Busch Boulevard.

The Relay for Life is March 27-28 at Greco Middle School, 6925 E. Fowler Ave..

Spaghetti Dinner Set For Sunday

The Knights of Columbus Corpus Christi Council 7644 will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Corpus Christi Church Parish Center, 9715 N. 56th St.

Luncheon Reservations Due On Friday

Reservations are needed by noon Friday for the Oct. 15 Temple Terrace Chamber of Commerce luncheon, which will feature City Manager Kim Leinbach with a state of the city address.

The event will be at 11:45 a.m. Oct.15 at the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club, 200 Inverness Ave. Charles Stevenson, director of community development, and Joe Gross, code compliance director, also will speak.

The chamber also will host a networking night from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Auto Pro, 1801-C E. Fowler Ave.

Alegria Members, Guests Support Project

NORTH TAMPA - Members of the Krewe of Alegria and their guests gathered Sept. 26 at the LA Hangout for the fifth annual Bike Night.

The event featured a bike show, a silent auction, music, barbecue and beer. Proceeds benefited the Alegria's Kickin' for Kids fund, which provides shoes for needy children in the Tampa Bay area.

Camp Brorein Hosts Annual Fish Fry

ODESSA - The fourth annual Camp Brorein Fish Fry, a benefit for the Boy Scout camp at 16901 Boy Scout Road, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 18 at the camp.

The event includes family activities, a climbing wall and prizes. Tickets are $6 each and available at the BSA Council Office, 13228 N. Central Ave. For information, call (813) 872-2691.

Plenty Of Fundraisers On The Schedule

TAMPA - The fall social season is in full swing with a number of events raising money for various causes. Some coming up in the next 10 days are:

• The Fur Ball at 6 p.m. Friday at the A La Carte Event Pavilion, 4050 Dana Shores Drive.

The event, with food, entertainment and a live and a silent auction, will benefit Big Cat Rescue. Dress is "safari and wild."

• Hearts of Fire Gala, at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Al La Carte Event Pavilion.

The event includes a cocktail hour, seated-dinner, live and silent auction and dancing to the Black Water Blues. Suzanne Avery and Liz Young are the co-chairs; Marilyn McPhail is the vice chair.

Tickets are $250, and proceeds benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. For tickets call (727) 712-8200.

• Key to the Cure Kickoff Celebration at 6 p.m. Oct. 15 at Saks Fifth Avenue at West shore Plaza.

The event includes food, drinks, entertainment and shopping. Starting then and continuing through Oct. 19, the store will donate 2 percent of its sales to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.

• Learning for Life Oktoberfest Gala at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Italian Club, 1731 E. Seventh Ave.

The event, benefiting the Boy Scouts of America's Learning for Life Program, will include a German dinner, beer, wine-tasting, live and silent auction and music by The Mainstream Band.

• Night of the Iguana at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the TPepin Hospitality Centre, 4121 N. 50th St.

The evening includes food samples, open bar, entertainment, a live and a silent auction. It benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida.

TAMPA PALMS - Rotary Club of New Tampa member Ron Hurst, a former member of the Illinois Legislature, will speak at Friday's meeting of the club.

The will talk about "Working with Every President from Eisenhower Through Clinton" at the 7 a.m. meeting at the Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club, 5811 Tampa Palms Blvd.
