TEMPLE TERRACE - Traffic-light enforcement cameras are being installed at two intersections in Temple Terrace, according to a release from the city.
The cameras will be located at 56th Street and Fowler Avenue and at 56th Street and Bullard Parkway.
During the first 30 days, beginning Sept. 17, motorists running red lights at those intersections, as documented by the cameras, will receive warning citations only. Thereafter, the fine is $100 for the first offense, with higher fines for subsequent offenses.
The cameras take two digital photos documenting a violation. A video of a violation also is recorded. The images are reviewed and a violation confirmed by a Temple Terrace police officer before a citation is issued. A notice of violation is mailed to the owner of the vehicle.
