TEMPLE TERRACE - It's official. The Temple Terrace Service League has merged with the Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club.

"The increase in membership is exciting because it means we can reach out to the community and make an even more positive impact," membership recruitment chairwoman Misty Winter said.

Lynn Werner, president of the Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club, agreed.

"Members can now choose to commit a little amount of time or a lot, reaching out to the community as schedules permit," Werner said. "Most of us are working women with careers and families.

"Our larger membership will allow us to do more service projects."

Sharon Caltagirone considers the merger a homecoming.

"As the former president of the service league, I am proud to come home to the TTJWC," Caltagirone said. "I am excited that the TTSL commemorative ornament project will be a great fundraising project for the juniors."

The Junior Woman's Club, which recently celebrated its 50th anniversary, made a large donation to the renovation of Woodmont Clubhouse, 415 Woodmont Ave., where the club meets the third Thursday monthly with the exception of June and July.

The GFWC Temple Terrace Junior Woman's Club is a nonprofit service organization for women 18 and older.

For information about the club, call (813) 431-7812 or visit www.ttjuniors.org.
