TEMPLE TERRACE - Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church will host its second Fourth of July celebration on Saturday.
The free event is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be in the church's parking lot, 304 Druid Hills Road.
The event begins with free coffee and doughnuts and serves as a viewing location for the Temple Terrace parade, which begins at 10 a.m.
During and after the parade, free hot dogs and popcorn will be available. A giant slide and Sno-cones will be available for the children.

Concert benefits Everyday Blessings
TAMPA - A Fourth of July concert is planned for 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Lowry Park Band Shell, 1101 W. Sligh Ave.
The event will feature Eric Darius, Shawn Brown, Nate Najar, the Mike McArthur Band and Al Chisholm & the on Que Players.
Although it is free, donations will be accepted for the St. Francis Foundation, which is seeking to build additional housing at Everyday Blessings. The Thonotosassa facility is a home for abandoned and abused children.
"We want people to come out, have a good time and hear the message. Then they can donate if they like," said concert organizer Eddie Adams.
Food, drink and coolers are not allowed at the event.
DAR donates to Haley House
TAMPA - The Florida State Society Daughters of the American Revolution has exceeded its goal of $100,000 for the Haley House.
The Haley House provides lodging for families of patients at the Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in north Tampa.
The project was initiated by the state society's regent, Sue C. Bratton.
Rotarians get Camp Rotary update
TAMPA PALMS - Jim Harmon, executive director Rotary Camp Florida, will speak about What's New at Your Rotary Camp Florida on Friday at the Rotary Club of New Tampa meeting.

Water director featured at Rotary
HUNTER'S GREEN - Brad Baird, director of the Tampa Water Department, will be the speaker at Thursday's meeting of the New Tampa Evening Rotary. The group meets at 6:15 p.m. at Hunter's Green Golf & Country Club, 18101 Longwater Run.
