TAMPA - Nearly 200 students from 28 states, as well as Canada and American Samoa, are participating in the annual Broadway Theatre Project at the University of South Florida through Aug. 2.
The project, co-founded by Ann Reinking and Debra McWaters, offers an intensive musical theater curriculum to prepare secondary and college age students for a professional career in the performing arts.
The July session ends with a new festival of workshop performances from July 30 to Aug 1 on the USF campus, 4202 E. Fowler Ave.
For the first time, parents of some of the 190 students will be allowed to participate in the arts education program.
