TAMPA - A New Tampa baby is getting a lot more exposure after winning Tampa Bay's Next Superstar Baby Contest.

Online voters chose a portrait of 1-year-old Sophia Marie Acosta as the best of 28 entries.

The tots had free 10-minute sessions with photographer Jessica Dana during the 2009 Everything For The Baby Expo at the Quorum Hotel last month. Dana then posted the portraits on her Web site and invited the public to vote for the winner. Sophia Marie chalked up the most votes with 539 clicks; altogether, 3,500 votes were cast.
Sophia Marie will be featured on the cover of Families On The Go Magazine this fall. She also won another free photo session with Dana, and comp cards that can be used for modeling or commercial work.

Born on Father's Day last year, Sophia Marie likes to dance - with her hands in the air. Her family calls it "raising the roof." Her parents are Nick and Raquel Acosta.
