WESLEY CHAPEL - Vendors and shoppers are needed for the annual Mistletoe Market, sponsored by the New Tampa Junior Woman's Club.
The Mistletoe Market is a boutique-style holiday shopping event that brings together a mix of specialty vendors from throughout the Tampa Bay area. It offers shopping, gift-wrapping, holiday craft projects for children and door prizes. Santa Claus also will be available for photographs.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 at Fifth Third Bank Plaza, 2022 Bruce B. Downs Blvd.
Admission is free. The exhibiting fee is $100 a booth, with a $10 extra charge if a table is needed. For information, go to www.ntjwc.org or e-mail mistletoemarket@ ntjwc.org.
Golf classic benefits team
USF CAMPUS - The University of South Florida baseball program will host a golf scramble Dec. 5 at the recently renovated Claw golf course at Fletcher Avenue and 42{+n}{+d} Street.
The event will feature USF coaches, door prizes, and an awards banquet. Sponsor opportunities are available, but playing slots for $150 are limited. Hole sponsorships are $100.

Hugues exhibit to open
A free wine reception Dec. 4 will open an exhibit of work by Linda Hugues, who is the North Tampa Arts League's featured artist of the month.
The reception will be 6 to 9 p.m. at the Great Frame Up Gallery, 1646 Bruce B. Downs Blvd.
Her work of portraits, Italian landscapes and florals will be on display at the gallery from Tuesday through Dec. 13.
Hugues began studying drawing and painting after careers in mechanical engineering and interior design. She teaches painting at the Carrollwood Cultural Center.
The organization's artist of the month for December is Virginia Butler. Her oil paintings of wildlife will be on display at the New Tampa Regional Library.
Butler is a self-taught artist who has focused on subjects including flowers, still life and landscapes. Her volunteer work at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo may have inspired her current pieces, a series of animal oil paintings.
Holiday luncheon set for Dec. 3
TAMPA PALMS - The Tampa Palms Women's Club will have its December Potluck Holiday Luncheon and charity presentations at 11 a.m. Dec. 3 at Compton Park, 16101 Compton Drive.
The club will present the proceeds from the Arts and Crafts Festival Under the Palms to local charities. Members will bring gifts for students and families at local elementary schools.
Felder family is honored
USF CAMPUS - Ande, Megan and Jenna Felder recently were honored with the 2009 Visionary of the Year award from the National MS Society Mid-Florida Chapter for fundraising efforts with the eighth annual MaSquerade for MS in September. The award was presented Nov. 14.
This year's MS event raised more than $25,000, bringing the eight-year total to more than $100,000.
