USF students dig into community cleanup

TAMPA - More than 30 students attended the University Area Community Cleanup on Oct. 3. The event was organized by Keep Hillsborough County Beautiful as part of the University of South Florida's Gandhi Day.
Volunteers armed with litter grabbers and trash bags picked up 350 pounds of litter that could have harmed wildlife and affected water quality. The day started with refreshments and impromptu live entertainment at the University Area Community Center.
