The Stamp Out Hunder Drive is a nationwide effort to provide food to local food banks and pantries, which would otherwise have depleted stocks during the summer months. The nation's 230,000 letter carriers collect food donations from people's homes for local food banks that are members of America's Second Harvest.
10,000 communities nationwide are expected to participate.
