Work on the new Giddens Park gazebo, off 12th Street in Southeast Seminole Heights, is scheduled to be completed this week. To celebrate, an ice cream social will take place this summer. Construction was paid with city money, contributions collected by Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Association, $25,000 from property taxes collected within the East Tampa redevelopment area and $16,000 from Leadership Tampa Alumni, Class of 2003. ...more
